As is almost typical for any dogwood this shrub will provide ornamental features for every season. It has beautiful spring flowers, attractive leaves and berries in summer, vibrant fall color, and the bark and stem colors in the winter are very showy.

  • Gray bark and red stems provide winter interest
  • Ideal for naturalizing with little or no care
  • Creamy white flowers in spring

For the easiest care it is best used for naturalizing in areas where it has room to spread or for hedges in controlled areas.

Height: 10-15 ft
Spread: 10-15 ft

Interesting Notes about Gray Dogwood:

A colonizing (spreading) shrub for trouble spots, this dogwood almost goes looking for it. It has several ornamental features, plus it is tolerant of sun or shade, wet or dry soils, and is good for stabilizing soil. Wildlife will use it for food and shelter.
