This is a sturdy succulent that will colonize creating a mat of colorful rosettes.

  • Tough succulent that tolerates the heat and humidity
  • Beautiful green rosettes with maroon tips
  • Pink to white flowers

A fun plant to add to the border as edging, in rock gardens, in containers or to use a filler between plants.

Height: 2-6 in
Spread: 12-18 in
Zone: 2-11
Color: Pink, White

Interesting Notes about Hen and Chicks:

'Carmen' is unusual because most hen and chicks cannot tolerate heat and humidity like this variety. It requires an infertile, well-drained soil because if they get too wet, they die. Each rosette (offshoot, or "chick") can be lifted and rooted in sand to fill in gaps where rosettes did not survive. Rosettes die after flowering.
