This small weeping tree has the same flowers and foliage as the species, but the branching gives it a more refined appearance in the landscape.

The species is a small shade tree that is ideal for the small landscape and this cultivar is a smaller, weeping form. It prefers to be constantly moist, but not wet, and needs the soil to be well-drained. Because the roots are not too aggressive it is a good tree to plant hosta or other ground cover beneath it.
