Interesting Notes about Chinese Redbud:

Chinese Redbud is perfect for the naturalized setting and prefers full sun, but will take some shade especially when summers are extremely hot.  Once tree is established it is difficult to transplant due to a long tap root.  This variety is best planted in a protected area with thick layer of mulch because it is susceptible to winter damage.  There is a sensitivity to dry or heavy clay soil types.
