A slow-growing tree with beautiful white flowers in the spring that are as pretty when they drop to the ground as when they are on the tree.

Interesting Notes about Japanese Snowbell:

This is a nice little shade tree that is ideal for the small landscape. It prefers to be constantly moist, but not wet, and needs the soil to be well-drained. Because the roots are not too aggressive it is a good tree to plant hosta or other ground cover beneath it.
