  • Wide spreading rambler
  • Works well as a ground cover
  • Female cultivar always has a good crop of fruit

Plant in the shrub border, woodland garden or as ground cover.  Will grow best in western and central Kansas.

Height: 2-2 ft
Spread: 6-8 ft
Zone: 3-9
Color: Yellow

Interesting Notes about Fragrant Sumac:

This non-poisonous shrub is a very effective ground cover for tough growing conditions, and since each plant spreads to about 8' it will not take many to do the job. The branches will root as they spread, creating a near complete weed-free zone. Female plants have clusters of flowers and the males have catkins.
