Interesting Notes about Rose Mallow:

In USDA Zones of 7-11 this plant is a sub-shrub where it dies above ground and resumes growing in the spring from the roots.  In cooler temperatures it is primarily grown as an annual, but it can be overwintered in containers indoors.  It may still go dormant if not enough light so store where it is out of the way and water when it feels dry to the touch.
